Today feels like a big day. It’s the day I got the keys for my very own art gallery! This has been an idea seeded in my mind for quite some time. It was one I thought not possible, until I suddenly saw this space and knew it was to be mine. Since then I’ve worked harder than I have in years. Up until late at night, organizing the multiple logistics that it’s taken to bring this dream to life. I’ve curated the most amazing group of female artists to display their art on these walls, alongside mine. I’ve been so bursting with ideas I can hardly sleep at night. And now it’s official. I’m a gallery owner! Now I have two weeks to bring this space to its full potential and fill it with beauty. My work has only just begun. When I first started creating my shop for the Byron Art Collective, I went searching for fun, bold, maximalist furniture pieces that felt alive for the shop — the kind of statement pieces that make you smile the moment you walk in.

But I couldn’t find what I had in my imagination… so I decided to make it myself. 💫

What began as a hunt for unique pieces turned into me rescuing vintage furniture, giving it new colour, new life, and a whole new story. And honestly? I’ve fallen completely in love with the process.

From bright maximalist makeovers to dreamy hand-painted details, I’ve now created an entire little range of upcycled treasures — and they’ll all be available soon at the Byron Art Collective. 💕✨

My new studio partner! This little cutie was in the pound and a cold concrete pound is no place for such a tiny baby. 🌸✨ Inspired by real life ✨🌸

This whimsical painting of three little pigs soaking in a bath was born from one very real, very loved soul — my rescue pig, Preeya 🐷💖.

Preeya came into my life carrying a story of survival, and every day she reminds me of the gentleness, joy, and intelligence that pigs hold. Watching her find comfort in something as simple as a bath filled my heart so much, I had to capture that spirit on canvas.

Art, for me, is a way of weaving together reality and imagination — a dreamy space where animals are celebrated as the magical beings they truly are. Preeya is my muse here, but she also represents the countless animals who deserve love, safety, and a life of joy.

I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to realign my creative journey. Instead of focusing on luxury-only products, I want to meet my community where you’re at — offering more budget-friendly options without ever compromising on quality.

I truly believe that art transforms a space, and it should be accessible to everyone. So I experimented with satin posters, and I was blown away by their quality. That’s why I’ve decided to focus more on these — affordable, beautiful, and still full of soul.

I’ve said it before and I’ll most likely say it again. I think I paint what happiness feels like for me. Because happiness is animals. Especially goofy looking animals. Google ‘quirky donkeys’ and you’ll see plenty of example of how wonderfully cheeky these guys are. I can’t wait to welcome some real donkeys in to my life. But in the meantime I’ll settle for painting them. Hope you like this character filled new creation. What shall I call her? 🫏 💜

Sometimes it feels like the world is losing its colour. The news is heavy, the skies are greyer, and our hearts can quietly grow a little dull.
That’s why I paint like this — with all the colour I can muster.

Bringing these vibrant beings to life on canvas brings me joy — and I hope it brings you a little, too.

The world needs more whimsy.
More tenderness.
More colour.

Another beautiful day at Byron Artisans Market. I have to say offices don’t get much better than this 😄 it’s always so lovely to meet so many great people (and their dogs) and see their reaction to my art. Someone at my stall said I had a great sense of humour in my art. I smiled — a little surprised. I never thought of my work as funny.

I paint these scenes not to amuse, but to imagine. To conjure a world where animals belong on couches, under chandeliers, sharing space and spirit with us.

Still, if it makes someone smile… maybe I’m painting what happiness looks like. It sure is what happiness would look like to me. What does happiness look like to you? Is it also a home filled with animals, colour and cake ?

I’ve been quite quiet on here recently. Not because I’ve not been painting and creating. But because I’ve been sad and im not good at putting on a fake happy face, it doesn’t feel authentic and lack of authenticity is one of my pet peeves. I know that’s what social media is all about. Creating a facade. It’s my least favorite thing about it. It’s what leads to toxic comparisons and thinking everyone else has a better, happier, more successful life than you, when probably they don’t. So I’ve come on here with a raw dose of authenticity to say hi and yes life has been challenging. For quite some time it’s been challenging. Nothing too dramatic. But a steady flow of health issues, relationship issues, loneliness and a thin support network sometimes brings up all my grief. Sometimes you just want your mum 😞 but I do also count my blessings. To regulate again I know what I need. To lean in to the deep love I have for my children, to allow nature to hold me and to get a dose of animal therapy, provided here by the sweetest wild kangaroos. So I took my kids off to an amazing campsite and enjoyed all of the above in the lush Australian bush and can now feel my faith restored that everything will be ok 🙏 this is not a post to create worry. I’m ok. Just navigating life and its twists and turns just like everyone else is. And if you’re wondering yes I now want a pet kangaroo and yes I also know I can’t have one 😆 to anyone else navigating sadness or grief. I see you 💕

‘Whispers of Grace’ is finally finished. I had completed the first acrylic and inks layer some time ago, but she’s been waiting patiently for her final oil layer which makes her so much more juicy and brings her to life. This painting Is about energy and connection. Specifically this time the energy of Grace which threads through the zebra, dancer and swan as one force. Separation is an illusion. There’s more that connects us than keeps us apart, both human and animal. We’re all part of one great energetic sea, like water drops melting to the whole. And I’ve become interested in exploring this in my art. What do you think? She’s 90x 90 c/m and available for sale. 💕

That time I taught my #pig to #paint with her snout and when I posted it someone sent it back to me having highlighted how she’d actually done a #selfportrait ! Preeya was saved from being someone’s dinner and instead came to live out her days with us in peace and happiness. I loved her deeply. I used to call her my pigglydog because that’s how she’d act. Just like a dog following us on walks and loving cuddles and belly rubs. It’s a poignant share as I am about to take one step closer to rebuilding my #animalsanctuary 🐖 🐄 🫏 🐓 the vision is a great one, a haven of compassion and creativity and I can’t wait to share the details with you all as the plan all comes together! Being immersed in a world of art is my idea of bliss. If you added in animals then I’d truly be heaven. I love the variety of styles, tastes, approaches. It all feels so juicy and alive! To attend an art fair is to marinade in a sea of inspiration and to connect with other artists living their bliss and following their dreams is truly inspirational. Following @worldartdubai I have received many invitations to exhibit at various art festivals and fairs. Most/ all of them come from Europe. So I feel the call to be spending a lot more time on the other side of the world going forward. Busy planning my life and planning my festival schedule and will announce dates soon 💕

It’s been very affirming stepping in to my first major #art fair 🖼️ it’s quite amazing to see people’s response to my work. What I’m frequently told is that it’s brings people joy, lifts their spirits and puts a big smile on their face. People have consistently said the energy and intention in my work is palpable. I wish I could have filmed every smiling face and every beautiful comment. What a privilege to lift people up with my work. One I don’t take for granted. I’ve sold originals. Directed people to my online shop where I’ve sold many prints. Met amazing people and grown as an artist and dare I say it business woman! 😆 grateful for this amazing experience and community of artists 🎨❤️

It seems fitting that today on world art day, I am here setting up in my high vis jacket for @worldartdubai 🖼️ today the world acknowledges and celebrates the importance of #art in our world and lives. I mean how dull would life be without art. There is nothing like art to change the whole atmosphere of a room. My house is a constant moving exhibition as I paint new paintings and put them on my walls before they are sold and moved on or taken to different places. The other day I had to take most of them down and my kids came home from school and were all upset as the they said the house felt so empty and sad without my paintings. And it was true. It really did! And that’s the power of art. To change a space. With its colours, it’s feeling, its intention, its humanity. So today let’s all hold some appreciation in our hearts for artists and all the masters that taught us and shaped art in to what it is today. And for those in Dubai I can’t wait to see you really soon! 💕

This #painting is now sold and will soon be on its way to its new home in Portugal. 🇵🇹 I love the details of this painting. The inks and paints I used almost make the canvas feel like linen. It somehow has this really earthy and delicate quality to it. I literally miss my paintings when they go. And it’s important to me that they go somewhere they will be loved and cherished. But this one has found the perfect home and I can’t wait to see how it looks in its new space 💕
